About us

Yogeshwari Hospital brings paediatrics and ophthalmology together under one roof in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar — because households do not arrange their health needs by speciality.

About the hospital

Yogeshwari Hospital was built around a simple observation: families do not organise themselves by medical speciality. A child needs a hernia reviewed, a parent needs their vision checked, a grandparent needs an opinion on a cataract — and all of it happens in the same week, to the same household.

So the hospital runs two departments side by side. Paediatric surgery, led by Dr. Ramdas D. Nagargoje, M.Ch., and eye care, led by Dr. Manisha Nagargoje (Sanap), D.O.M.S. Same building, same records, same day where it can be arranged. Our website address is yogeshwarisurgical.com, so the hospital is also known as Yogeshwari Surgical or Yogeshwari Surgical Hospital — the same hospital and the same two doctors.

What has not changed since the beginning is the length of a consultation. There is time to describe the problem properly, time for the questions that occur to you halfway through, and written instructions to take home — because nobody remembers verbal advice correctly with a sick child on their hip.

“Investigation should change the treatment. If it will not, we do not order it.”

Why choose us

Not the equipment list. The four things patients tell us make the difference between a consultation that helps and one that just happens.

A super-specialist, not a generalist

Paediatric surgery is a separate qualification beyond general surgery. Dr. Ramdas holds an M.Ch. in it and trained at B.J. Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai — so a newborn is operated on by someone who does this specifically, not occasionally.

Two specialities, one family practice

A paediatric surgeon and an ophthalmologist under one roof — so a child's surgical review and a grandparent's cataract opinion can happen in the same building on the same day.

The least invasive option that works

Keyhole rather than open, day-care rather than admission, and watchful waiting rather than an operation when the condition will settle by itself. You are told plainly which one applies.

Unhurried consultations

Time to describe the problem properly, ask what you actually want to ask, and leave with written instructions rather than a half-remembered explanation.
